Tips! Tips are never required, but always appreciated! Tips don’t have to be financial either, I’m like a crow and enjoy collecting all sorts of little trinkets and goodies :P
General recommendations for a pleasant tattooing experience:
Please do not make any plans after your tattoo. I need you to be relaxed and prepared to stay longer than expected if necessary so that I can focus on quality work that will last you a lifetime.
Eat a healthy meal within 1 hour before your appointment.
Bring snacks that will help maintain energy like well balanced nutrition bars or healthy crackers. We also have a few snacks and drinks available.
Get a good night’s rest!
Bring water! Hydrate well the day before.
Do not consume any alcohol or take drugs before your appointment. I will not tattoo you if you are under the influence.
On the tattooing day, make sure to not put any cream, numbing ointment, moisturizer, or sunscreen on the tattoo spot. If you have a habit of using body cream everyday, try to skip the tattoo area for 2-3 days as well.
Please limit the amount of guests you bring with you to 1. Our studio is very small and we want to be considerate of the other artists and clients.
I will not tattoo you if:
You are taking antibiotics or cortisone.
You are pregnant.
You are on blood thinners.
You were vaccinated less than 48 hours before your appointment.
You are about to go on vacation where you will be exposed to the sun for prolonged periods.
Any skin condition flares are present on the location of where you are getting a tattoo.
You are under the age of 18.
You are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
You did not bring proper identification.
Please make sure to be punctual for your visit:
Being late will reduce available time for you.
Being late or not showing up will result in forfeiture of your deposit.
Clothes:
I need to be able to comfortably access the tattoo area with plenty of buffer space. In general, wear clothes that are loose and soft so it is easy to pull up for tattoo work.
It’s best if the color is grey or black. Ink might spill and I don’t want to stain your favorite shirt!
I will never ask you to remove anything you’re not comfortable with, but I do need access to tattoo, so plan ahead and reach out if you have any questions!
